Maggie offers over 12-years experience as a professional writer. Her career started in Boston covering the food and theater scene and now she focuses on parenting, plant-based wellness, organic lifestyle and all things bees.
After graduating cum laude from Simmons College with a BA in Communications, she earned her Master’s degree in Applied Literacy, which helped her realize writing was her true passion. Her monthly column, Momsense, is featured in Maine Women magazine and she contributes to national print and digital media.
Maggie is also a beekeeper and co-founder of the non-profit, Portland Protectors. Their mission is to educate on the importance of creating organic habits and banning the toxic lawn chemicals that harm bees, kids and waterways. This summer, she will attend Harvard University’s Sustainability Leadership program. For more information on her work with bees and Healing with Honey workshops, visit here.
